About the Role
Manage and steer UK and Irish customs, export control and tax compliance (e.g. declarations, customs valuation) for the group, including reporting of tax for local accounting purposes, group accounts and interim group reporting purposes
Advise regarding UK and Irish customs, export control and tax risk management.
Optimise UK and Irish tax and customs duty payments (incl. duty savings schemes such as FTAs, etc.)
Work closely with HQ on group projects that have UK and Irish customs, export control and tax implications (e.g. new IT projects, tax and customs procedures, preferential trade programs, new products, new or change of business models, acquisitions, AEO etc.
Advise and communicate latest tax, customs and export control legislation across the group
Your Background
The gravitas and network to manage relationships with Senior Tax and Customs Officials of UK and Irish government and authorities.
Additional knowledge and experience in accounting would be preferable.
Strong communication skills
Experience with internationally used customs, tax and export control IT systems
Project management experience.
